About the Role
Drive product direction for Movable Ink's event data pipeline, focusing on data ingestion, normalization, and availability across the platform. This role bridges product and data infrastructure, supporting personalization and AI capabilities for customers.
Responsibilities
- Own the product backlog for the event data pipeline, including stream event ingestion, tracking, data normalization, and governed data infrastructure.
- Drive sprint-level execution with data engineering partners.
- Translate use cases and functional requirements from Sales, CX, and other teams into product requirements for engineering.
- Serve as a partner to commercial and cross-functional teams, ensuring their work connects to customer and business needs.
- Contribute to the broader data and integrations portfolio where event data decisions create dependencies.
- Define and track reliability and quality benchmarks for pipeline features.
- Monitor performance of pipeline features post-launch.
- Stay current on the event data and data platform landscape.
- Provide informed perspectives on architectural trade-offs with engineering.
- Advocate for customers in all interactions and decisions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience with technically complex, data-intensive products.
- Fluency in event data pipeline concepts (stream event ingestion, real-time data processing, data normalization).
- Familiarity with modern data stack technologies (Snowflake, Kafka, Databricks, Airflow).
- Demonstrated ability to translate use cases and requirements into actionable product requirements.
- Comfortable building credibility with data engineering teams and commercial partners.
- Strong prioritization skills with an eye toward platform dependencies.
- Clear, plain-language communication skills.
