About the Role
Berger Moving & Storage is seeking a Distribution Scheduler to join their team in Austin, Texas. This role is responsible for routing in-home white glove deliveries of new furniture using routing software, scheduling deliveries with customers, and resolving delivery issues. The individual will also coordinate with warehouse crews to ensure all items are ready for delivery.
Responsibilities
- Use delivery software to create daily routes for drivers
- Work with warehouse crews to determine that all items for deliveries are present prior to scheduling delivery
- Track items to be returned to vendor and work with the account to schedule return trucks
- Assist in receiving trucks and verifying everything matches the manifest
- Calling clients to inform them of delivery date and time
- Other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of customer service experience (required)
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite
Skills
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong evaluation skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to calculate currency conversions and weight/volume calculations
