About the Role
Affinity is an AI-first CRM for private capital that helps dealmakers find, manage, and close more deals by using the power of their network. As our Senior Director of Product Management, you'll lead our entire product management team, own how the team operates, executes, and levels up on the PM craft, especially through AI fluency. You’ll partner closely with Build leadership to shape Affinity's future and report directly to the SVP of Product.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of product managers and our product analyst.
- Own the PM operating cadence: roadmap and execution reviews, planning cycles, prioritization, and the triad model with engineering and design.
- Set the bar for PM craft at Affinity, defining and enforcing standards across discovery, prioritization, scoping, delivery, and organizational influence.
- Lead the team's growth in AI fluency, developing team-wide practices and leading by example.
- Partner with engineering, design, and product marketing leadership on operating model, quality, and delivery predictability.
- Translate strategy into an executable plan, ensuring clear priorities and alignment across initiatives, roadmaps, team strategies, and company/product strategy.
- Build the team's strategic muscle with sharper metrics, impact modelling, and a stronger habit of tying product work to business outcomes.
- Hire and establish a culture that attracts and develops strong PM talent.
- Operate as a senior leader at Affinity, contributing to strategic planning beyond your own function.
Requirements
- 10+ years in product management, with at least 5 years leading and developing high-performing PM teams, including leads or principal-level PMs.
- Genuine energy for evolving how PM teams operate, focusing on team, culture, craft, and cadence.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to connect PM decisions to business outcomes, weigh trade-offs, and influence company and product strategy.
- A track record of building teams that execute well and raising the bar on team operations.
- A clear point of view on how product management is changing with AI, with evidence of application in personal work and team's work.
- Experience in B2B or enterprise software with professional users, understanding workflow complexity, data quality expectations, and stakes of building for professional users.
- Comfort with pace and ambiguity in a company undergoing transformation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for rallying teams, influencing peers, and representing product management.
- Directness paired with care for people, including giving honest feedback, building trust, and growing team members.
- Experience with private capital, financial services, or a domain where relationships and data are the product is a plus.
