About the Role

The Learning Specialist & Trainer is responsible for learning and development initiatives, including curriculum revisions and customization of Your Health Space (YHS) programming for clients. This role will deliver YHS training to healthcare partners across Ontario, supporting mental health in the workplace.

Responsibilities

Maintains oversight and responsibility for the YHS program curriculum, modules, workshop materials, training materials, and other curriculum components.
Prepares for and delivers YHS training to leaders, frontline healthcare workers, and supportive healthcare professionals across Ontario.
Leads updates and developments of the YHS curriculum and associated materials based on research, best practices, and feedback.
Maintains up-to-date trademarks, copyrights, and intellectual property rights on all YHS materials.
Leads the development and implementation of customized workshops for YHS clients.
Provides community-based training as scheduled.
Hosts training and development opportunities for YHS team members on workplace mental health best practices and curriculum updates.
Liaises with internal CMHA Ontario resource positions to enhance program quality and reach.
Participates in various subcommittees within the YHS team.
Attends regular meetings of the YHS and CMHA Ontario teams.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years’ experience training adult learners required.
Work experience in the healthcare sector required.
Direct patient/client care experience strongly preferred.
Experience in curriculum development, including modules, workshop materials, training materials, and other curriculum pieces.
Ability to deliver training effectively in English required.
Ability to design and deliver curricula related to mental health and addictions.
Experience within the mental health or healthcare field is a strong asset.
Experience in program leadership and experience and training in project management is a strong asset.
Familiarity with key concepts of mental health promotion, health equity, and social determinants of health an asset.
Working knowledge of the mental health and addictions sector, workplace mental health, and the Z1003 National Standard for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including strong writing, editing, and presentation skills with a high attention to detail.
Experience applying judgment, initiative, and discretion when dealing with confidential, legal, and/or sensitive information.
Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook), database management, and email software.
G Class license required.
Must maintain and submit proof of full COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of employment.

Hiring Rate: $76,866.17 - $79,172.16 per annum (35-hour work week)
