About the Role
The Talent Director leads talent strategy and relationship management for Kensington Grey's creator portfolio, overseeing the full talent lifecycle from sourcing to opportunity alignment. This role involves developing engagement plans, conducting performance reviews, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the agency's employer brand. The position drives initiatives for creator satisfaction, retention, and growth within a remote-first environment.
Responsibilities
- Directly manage a team of 3-5 reports, including Talent Managers, a Project Manager, or a Talent Success Specialist.
- Provide regular coaching, feedback, and career development to direct reports.
- Oversee team workflows, roster allocations, and performance goals.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and professional development for the talent division.
- Personally manage a small, high-value roster of top-tier creators.
- Provide strategic counsel, career development planning, and hands-on management to elite talents.
- Guide the team in developing multi-dimensional growth plans for their rosters.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure creators are aligned with best-fit opportunities.
- Monitor individual and team revenue performance and implement corrective action plans.
- Lead vetting processes for new talent signings.
- Track industry trends and platform shifts to identify emerging talent.
- Ensure the team upholds high standards for deal negotiation, communication, and relationship management.
- Support internal process improvements and contribute to systems that streamline agency operations.
- Serve as a senior liaison between the talent team and other departments.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in influencer marketing, talent management, or entertainment.
- 3+ years of people management experience, preferably within an agency or fast-paced media environment.
- Demonstrated success managing top-tier talent and negotiating high-value deals.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
- Deep understanding of social platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube) and content monetization models.
- Comfortable operating both strategically and tactically.
