About the Role
The Child Development Center is seeking a loving, energetic, and dedicated assistant infant teacher to join their NAEYC-accredited preschool team. This role focuses on creating a nurturing, safe, and supportive learning environment for children infant through Pre-K.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Lead Teacher to implement an engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum that follows NAEYC standards.
- Collaborate with Lead Teacher regarding assessments, classroom materials, and specific child skill development.
- Support children's learning by implementing the lesson plan.
- Communicate with families both verbally and in writing.
- Build positive relationships with parents and coworkers.
- Serve as a positive role model for all children.
- Encourage language development through developmentally appropriate activities, songs, questions, and books.
- Actively engage with students and participate in classroom activities at all times.
- Maintain an organized and clean classroom environment conducive to play-based learning.
Requirements
- Must have a passion for creating a nurturing, safe, and supportive learning environment.
- Must have a love for children and the desire to make a difference in their lives.
- Must have a strong commitment to maintaining professionalism.
- Must have a strong desire to work collaboratively with a talented team of diverse teachers and administrators.
- Must meet all Texas DFPS requirements.
- Must pass a background check.
- Must be able to lift/carry 30+ pounds.
- Must be able to be on your feet for long periods of time.
