About the Role
Eversource is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its Investment Planning team supporting the natural gas operations business in Connecticut and Massachusetts. The role focuses on compiling and coordinating operational and accounting/financial information for regulatory filings, reconciliations, and plans, as well as assisting with budgets and financial closing activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide documentation for regulatory filings
- Develop and maintain revenue reconciliation models and procedures
- Produce Monthly Financial Report and Monthly Projection Report
- Support the annual budget process
Requirements
- Must hold a valid motor vehicle driver’s license
- Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required
- Must be available to travel between CT and MA as necessary
- Applicants requiring visa sponsorship will not be considered
Skills
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting theory, practices, and procedures
- Strong knowledge and experience in financial reporting, analyses, and financial model management
- Financial acumen including basic understanding of financial concepts and financial modeling
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
- Demonstrated skill working with large computer databases and data file manipulation
- Demonstrated skill with Accounting System
- Demonstrated skill with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPlan)
- Strong detail orientation, thoroughness, and precision
- Ability to multi-task and shift among multiple priorities
- Strong spoken and written communication skills
- Ability to interpret and relate complex information in a user-friendly manner
- Solid problem-solving skills
