About the Role

The role sits at the heart of our Telematics pricing team, responsible for leading a team of risk analysts to deliver profit and growth targets through adjustments to our Telematics footprint.

Responsibilities

Identify and lead opportunities to expand competitive footprint or rectify unprofitable segments.
Develop and deliver innovative approaches to manage underwriting risk associated with new footprint segments.
Analyze risk using loss ratios and KPIs, translating insights into recommendations for portfolio decisions.
Leverage stakeholder engagement to shape strategic growth pathways.
Lead and support a team of risk analysts through peer reviews, coaching, and mentoring.
Ensure customer expectations are met and provide fair outcomes, challenging processes that do not align with customer interests.

Requirements

Strong commercial awareness and understanding of business profitability.
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Advanced programming language skill (R, Python, SQL, Radar, or similar).
Pro-active approach to driving change.
Ability to think strategically about long-term goals and balance short-term objectives.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Confidence to express opinions and challenge.
Pricing/analytics experience in the financial services sector.
Knowledge of insurance market and competitors.
Good understanding of underwriting principles.
