About the Role
As a Structural Designer I, you will join our growing structural engineering team in an entry-level drafting role. Working under close supervision, you will learn to produce structural drawings, models, and details that support our renewable energy projects across solar (PV), battery storage (BESS), and high-voltage (HV).
Responsibilities
- Prepare and revise structural construction drawings and details, including plan views, sections, elevations, and details, under close supervision using Autodesk products.
- Assist with drafting and detailing foundations (driven piles, screw and helical piles, and cast-in-place concrete), steel structures, building envelopes, and non-building structures.
- Help compile foundation bills of material (BOMs) and quantity takeoffs, coordinating with the civil design team.
- Work with structural engineers and senior designers to accurately incorporate markups and revisions.
- Follow applicable Client, EPC, Owner, and Utility standards on assigned drawings.
- Learn and follow CAD standards, templates, and file and revision control.
Requirements
- Proficiency in using Autodesk products to prepare and revise structural construction drawings and details.
- Ability to assist with drafting and detailing various structural components and foundations.
- Skill in compiling foundation bills of material (BOMs) and quantity takeoffs.
- Capability to coordinate with the civil design team.
- Experience working with structural engineers and senior designers to incorporate revisions.
- Understanding of and adherence to applicable Client, EPC, Owner, and Utility standards.
- Knowledge of CAD standards, templates, and file and revision control.
