About the Role
This entry-level position involves servicing aquariums and aviaries in nursing homes and assisted living facilities, creating serene and engaging environments for residents. The role requires basic knowledge of hand tools and assembly, with significant physical demands including heavy lifting and bending.
Responsibilities
- Manage service cycle for customer base
- Respond to calls, emails, and faxes to address customer needs
- Effectively communicate company products and services
- Make an efficient work schedule
- Prioritize and handle multiple tasks
- Maintain a professional appearance and possess excellent communication skills
- Be well-organized with excellent time management skills
- Demonstrate an inner drive and desire to exceed goals
- Store 50# bags of bedding and seed, along with 2-3 27-gallon totes of supplies
- Adhere to masking/goggles requirements when working in long-term care homes
Requirements
- Possess a valid Driver's License
- Ability to travel within a 100-mile radius of Peekskill, NY
- Ability to comprehend and follow instructions
- Ability to read and write in English
- Willingness to be flexible with schedule and job responsibilities
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and good attendance
- Ability to continually adjust priorities to meet business needs
- Ability to communicate and contribute effectively in a team environment
- Willingness to learn and maintain a great attitude
- Mechanical aptitude preferred
- Experience in fish keeping and/or bird keeping preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and maneuvering
- High School education preferred
