About the Role
Power-Flo Technologies is seeking experienced box truck drivers to join their warehouse team, offering stable, year-round work with a Monday-Friday schedule.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections of the vehicle using an app.
- Safely and efficiently pick up and deliver orders.
- Plan the most efficient daily delivery sequences using manifest and GPS to minimize transit time.
- Navigate urban and suburban routes safely, consistently meeting strict delivery deadlines.
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate the delivery vehicle.
- Secure heavy or fragile cargo using straps, load locks, and bracing to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
- Plan delivery routes to maximize efficiency and productivity for the day.
- Verify manifest accuracy by counting quantity of cartons, skids, coil, etc., and inspecting the condition of material prior to loading and upon delivery.
- Complete delivery and pickup paperwork promptly and accurately, gathering appropriate signatures and acknowledgements.
- Obey all traffic laws and parking regulations.
- Provide professional, prompt, and friendly customer service, acting as the face of the company at various drop-off points.
- Perform basic warehouse work including removing sold parts from stock, placing received parts on shelves, processing items for shipment, and receiving/organizing.
Requirements
- 4-7 years of experience driving box trucks (18 feet or longer) or similarly sized commercial vehicles required.
- Current, valid, and clean NYS driver’s license to operate company box trucks and vehicles (7-year clean driving record required).
- Ability to obtain and maintain DOT certification.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull over 100 pounds.
- Comfortable using a smartphone and computer.
- Ability to follow processes, procedures, and policies.
- Ability to work well independently, maintain a can-do attitude, and be willing to learn.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with functional English skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of Nassau, Suffolk, and the five boroughs of NYC.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and push or pull over 100 pounds.
- Position may require standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, and/or reaching.
- May be exposed to dust, loud noises, and hot and cold conditions.
- Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the US.
