About the Role
AECOM is seeking an experienced Construction Laborer for immediate employment in the Upstate New York area. This role involves performing a variety of tasks in support of survey or construction activities, potentially including equipment setup and operation, inspection of installations, documentation, and assisting with building or roadway maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of tasks in support of survey or construction activities
- Duties may differ depending on the specialty area
- Activities may include setting up and operating equipment

- Activities may include inspection of engineering installations for compliance with specifications
- Activities may include maintaining project documentation
- Activities may include assisting with the building, repair, or maintenance of a structure or roadway
- Relies on general understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to plan and accomplish moderate goals
- Works under direct supervision
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Must pass a state and federal criminal history/security background check
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Physically able, with or without an accommodation, to work in outdoor environments with uneven terrain, variable outdoor conditions including dusts, noise, chemicals, and vibration
- Position requires frequent (more than 50% of workday) standing/walking
- Position requires often (25-50% of workday) performing repetitive bending/stooping
