About the Role
As a Technical Coordinator, you will provide proactive, accurate, and well-organized technical and administrative support to the Track Systems department. You will coordinate telemetry support for private tests, manage hardware orders and shipments, maintain operational records, and support Formula 1 events globally. This role requires strong organizational skills, an interest in technology and motorsport, and the ability to act as a trusted point of contact for various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate telemetry support requirements for private tests, including planning, preparation, execution, and post-event follow-up.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for teams during private test planning, ensuring clear communication and issue resolution.
- Provide financial reporting and forecasting support to the Head of Department.
- Review, document, and continuously improve operational processes and procedures.
- Manage hardware sales to teams, including quotations, order administration, delivery coordination, and record maintenance.
- Liaise with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders for timely delivery of products and services.
- Maintain accurate inventory, shipment, and tracking documentation for hardware lifecycle management.
- Coordinate priority shipments of Return Material Authorisation hardware for events and operational locations worldwide.
- Input event data into the LifeCheck asset-tracking system and maintain updated information.
- Produce and maintain clear technical records, administrative reports, and tracking documentation.
- Support the preparation, configuration, and deployment of hardware for events, private tests, and customer requirements.
- Proactively identify operational risks, escalate issues, and propose practical solutions.
- Respond to team and customer inquiries professionally and promptly, maintaining high customer service standards.
- Contribute to departmental projects by conducting research and presenting findings.
- Ensure all activities comply with company procedures, confidentiality obligations, safety requirements, and quality standards.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook) for professional documentation, communication management, and administrative support.
- Experience maintaining accurate records, trackers, or operational documentation.
- Experience communicating professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience supporting technical equipment, hardware preparation, or operational deployment activities (desirable).
- Exposure to logistics, inventory management, order administration, or shipment coordination (desirable).
- Experience contributing to projects or reviewing and improving administrative processes (desirable).
- Experience using JIRA or a similar issue management platform (desirable).
- GCSE grade C or above in Mathematics and English, or equivalent.
- A degree, Higher National Diploma, Higher National Certificate, or equivalent in a relevant subject (desirable).
- An A-level, BTEC, or equivalent technical qualification supported by relevant practical experience (desirable).
- Awareness of motorsport-related activities and an interest in developing knowledge in this area.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills, including knowing when to escalate issues.
- Strong attention to detail in maintaining records, inventory, shipment documentation, and administrative processes.
- Commercial and operational awareness.
- Ability to build productive working relationships with teams, suppliers, logistics providers, and internal stakeholders.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to use shared drives, calendars, trackers, and internal business systems.
- Working knowledge of AI such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar for administrative tasks.
- Ability to identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements.
