About the Role

Alma Bank is seeking an experienced C&I Portfolio Manager to manage assigned Commercial & Industrial (C&I) loans, focusing on credit analytics, risk assessment, and client relations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and evaluate the credit risk and performance of the C&I loan portfolio.
  • Perform reviews of the loan portfolio to determine credit worthiness.
  • Recommend appropriate loan upgrades/downgrades.
  • Manage assigned loan portfolio within Bank policy and customer service standards.
  • Request information for annual loan review.
  • Analyze leases, operating statements, and property appraisals.
  • Structure and underwrite new credit requests and renewals.
  • Conduct customer meetings and property inspections as needed.
  • Monitor financial reporting requirements and loan covenants compliance.
  • Manage client relationships through consistent communication.
  • Assist with credit analysis of new client relationships.
  • Maintain knowledge of the Bank’s lending policies/procedures.
  • Identify exceptions to credit policy.
  • Participate in special projects or reporting.
  • Prepare systems maintenances.
  • Attend meetings and conference calls on transactions.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent analytical/credit underwriting skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial statements, property cash flow projections, tax returns, credit reports, appraisals, and personal financial statements.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to adapt to a bank's databases to research loans and financial documentation.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; speaks and writes clearly and effectively.
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
  • Familiarity with Banking and Banking laws and regulations.
