About the Role
This internship offers exposure to complex U.S. and multi-state income tax returns for business entities, including C-corporations, S-Corporations, partnerships, individual income, gift tax, and estate tax returns. You will gain an understanding of the tax return process with a high degree of accuracy, research and consult on various tax matters, and utilize tax-related software. Additionally, you will provide or assist with accounting services such as bookkeeping, payroll, and sales tax, and support the office in maintaining and enhancing client relationships. You will also collaborate with a broader team of interns across Platform, gaining insight on best practices and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist with researching and resolving technical tax issues
- Support a variety of tax projects
- Contribute to other assignments as needed
- Gain exposure to complex U.S. and multi-state income tax returns for business entities
- Understand the tax return process with a high degree of accuracy
- Research and consult on various tax matters
- Utilize tax-related software to research tax matters
- Provide or assist with accounting services including bookkeeping, payroll, sales tax, etc.
- Support the office in maintaining and enhancing client relationships
- Collaborate with the broader team of interns across Platform, gaining insight on best practices and procedures
