About the Role
New York Dental Affiliates (NYDA) is seeking a part-time Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to join the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem. The Department of Dentistry is a high-volume, 23-chair facility with a strong academic affiliation with Columbia University. The mission is to provide comprehensive health services of the highest quality to all New Yorkers with dignity and respect, regardless of ability to pay.
Responsibilities
- Participate in training OMFS residents in the clinic, operating room, and emergency room.
- Provide lectures to and evaluate residents.
- Supervise clinical and operating room cases.
- Participate in Quality Assurance activities.
- Participate in scholarly activities.
- On-call responsibilities will apply.
Requirements
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD).
- Board Certified or Board Eligible by The American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
- Active New York State Dental License.
- Active New York State Dental Anesthesia License.

Salary/Compensations
- $251,250 - $258,750 Salary/year
- Annual Base Salary: $251,250* (board eligible); $258,750* (board certified) based on 30-hour work week.
- Additional compensation available for extra sessional/per diem hours.
- Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
- Projected bonus of up to $30,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
- The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $361,895** (board eligible) and $370,145** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors.
