About the Role
Central Health is seeking a skilled neurologist to provide direct patient care, oversee and interpret EEGs/EMGs, and complete e-consults/reviews in an outpatient clinic. The role involves designing clinical workflows to improve access to care, efficiency, and supporting evidence-based practice. This position will serve as an attending to learners and may supervise advanced practice providers, collaborating closely with patients and a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Performs neurology consultations, EEG/EMG procedures, e-consults, and e-reviews in an outpatient clinic setting.
- Orders or executes various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on the patient’s condition.
- Diagnoses and treats diseases, disorders, and injuries based on the patient’s medical history and physical assessment results.
- Prescribes medications and referrals for treatment and preventative care.
- Instructs patients and their families regarding procedures performed, home care, and follow-up visits.
- Directs and supervises advanced practice providers as needed.
- Helps design clinical workflows to improve access to care, support evidence-based practice, and improve efficiency.
- Actively communicates with others in a clear, understandable, and professional manner in person and on the phone.
- Collaborates with Central Health's operations and clinical leaders to ensure a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrates professional management skills, including planning, organizing, and scheduling work efficiently and productively.
- Actively interacts with peers, executives, employees, and consultants in a manner that represents Central Health positively.
- Offers strong decision-making skills, especially in clinical matters.
- Contributes to yearly assessments of team members with guidance from the Practice Leader.
- Plans, promotes, demonstrates, recommends, and coordinates high standards of medical practice.

Requirements
- M.D or D.O degree with Board Certification (or Board Eligibility if within 2 years of residency) in Internal Medicine and Neurology.
- 2 years of clinical experience.
- 5 years of clinical experience with 2 years of leadership/mentorship experience.
