About the Role
The Client Engagement Specialist (CES) manages all renewal aspects for a defined set of Global Risk Insights (GRI) customers in the EMEA region, responsible for retaining existing contract revenue and supporting upsells. This role requires liaising with internal teams to ensure client needs are met and driving successful renewals to maintain a strong revenue base for Dow Jones. Success is measured by the retention rates of assigned GRI accounts.
Responsibilities
- Create, own, and ensure buy-in for the retention strategy for assigned GRI accounts in collaboration with the Account Executive and GRI CES colleagues.
- Proactively provide management and the collaborating team with a clear picture of high-risk renewal accounts and strategies to address them.
- Ensure appropriate product utilization for a defined set of GRI customers by monitoring internal Tableau reports and other data sources monthly.
- Ensure smooth and timely onboarding of new customers and users, including appropriate customer training, either directly or in collaboration with the Product Training Specialist team.
- Act as an internal point of contact for GRI product training in the EMEA region, collaborating with global GRI CES colleagues and the Product Training Specialist team.
- Oversee the entire renewal lifecycle, including pricing, contracting, invoicing, and client support, to ensure customer concerns are addressed efficiently.
- Support Commercial colleagues in delivering upsells of GRI products into existing accounts to maximize customer ROI.
- Develop a thorough understanding of customers, including their business groups, value derived from DJ services, business/industry, competitor solutions, and current/developing needs.
- Understand how clients derive value from DJ services/products and identify key decision-makers.
- Serve as an internal conduit for client feedback and competitive intelligence to DJ Product, Content & Marketing.
- Act as the subject matter expert for GRI products in the EMEA region.
- Identify opportunities for increased revenue (up-selling and cross-selling) within assigned accounts and collaborate with the sales team to pursue them.
- Collaborate with the Account Executive and other GRI CES colleagues to build and execute Client Success Plans (CSPs) for a defined set of customers.
- Analyze client usage trends and behaviors monthly to adjust CSPs accordingly and pass potential upsell opportunities to relevant Account Managers.
- Maintain accurate client records within the company's systems.
- Communicate with clients primarily via telephone and email, with occasional face-to-face meetings in the EMEA region.
Requirements
- Minimum 2-4 years of proven success in client engagement, customer success, or account management.
- Experience and interest in Geopolitics, Risk, Security, and Intelligence is highly desirable.
- Exceptional English-language written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to multi-task and adhere to tight deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite & Google Drive.
- Knowledge of Salesforce & Tableau is desirable.
- Additional European languages are desirable (Spanish preferred).
