About the Role
Reporting to the Business Operations Manager, the HR Manager serves as the primary point of contact for managers and employees, offering support and problem-solving. This role provides comprehensive HR support throughout the employee lifecycle, encompassing recruitment, compensation and benefits, learning and development, employee engagement, performance management, employee relations, communications, and administration. The HR Manager will oversee the HR Advisor for the Chennai Office.
Responsibilities
- Update and improve policies by working on the staff handbook.
- Provide training, support, and coaching on processes and procedures, ensuring managers are updated on employment legislation and best practices.
- Equip managers with the necessary tools and coaching for performance management and development.
- Collaborate with managers to establish clear performance expectations, address development needs, and support employee growth.
- Offer guidance on training and support for managers and their teams, including liaising with external learning and development suppliers.
- Facilitate mid-year and year-end performance review processes, delivering appropriate reminders and training to managers and employees.
- Lead the recruitment process using best practices and coach managers on selection.
- Maintain the finance team's ‘Hiring Plan’ and communicate all joiners and leavers.
- Maintain job descriptions with support from heads and managers.
- Oversee the onboarding and offboarding of employees, including approving contracts and offer letters.
- Ensure new employees have an onboarding/induction plan and receive relevant information.
- Assist in maintaining documentation, including company benefits, induction materials, and policy processes on Confluence.
- Ensure the security of personal data and maintain confidentiality.
- Analyze and report on key HR metrics such as headcount, turnover, and absence.
- Proactively identify best practices to develop People initiatives, present recommendations to the Leadership team for approval, and lead project delivery.
- Work closely with the leadership team to determine compensation and benefits offers, providing advice and support on benefits, remuneration, and benchmark data.
- Develop and implement specific projects as occasionally required by the SLT team.
Requirements
- Proven generalist HR experience in an HR Manager, HR Business Partner, or Senior HR Advisor role, with responsibility across the full employee lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law, HR best practice, employee relations, performance management, and employee engagement.
- Experience within a fast-growing, global, technology, fintech, or professional services environment.
- Previous experience managing a junior HR team member is desirable.

- Experience using HRIS/HR systems.
- Knowledge of BambooHR would be advantageous.
