About the Role
Performs simple maintenance and cleaning duties in guest rooms, public areas, and hotel grounds that do not require specialized skills or trade knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Complete basic maintenance and deep cleaning tasks to maintain guest rooms and public areas.
- Assist with preventative maintenance checklists and complete minor repairs.
- Carry tools, prepare worksites, and assist maintenance representatives.
- Clean and sweep parking lot and sidewalk areas.
- Maintain lawns and plants, including cutting, pruning, watering, and disposing of trimmings.
- Empty trashcans daily.
- Report unsafe conditions or malfunctioning equipment to supervisors.
- Adhere to established safety policies and procedures.
- Follow procedures to ensure the security of inventory, replenish supplies, and minimize waste.
- Respond courteously and promptly to guest requests.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through inter-departmental communication.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
Requirements
- Must have the legal right to work in the country.
- Must reside in the U.S. and be ready for in-person interviews.
- Basic reading and writing skills.
- Ability to carry, lift, pull, or push items weighing up to 100-300 pounds.
- Frequently stand, move about buildings and grounds, handle objects and equipment, and bend, stoop, or kneel.
- Working knowledge of basic non-skilled maintenance tasks.
- Working knowledge of lawn/plant care equipment and tools.
- Ability to document tasks, order supplies, receive instructions, and read equipment manuals.
- May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
