About the Role
Easy Street Capital is seeking a Senior Operations Analyst to manage legal documentation and processes for mortgage lending. This role involves assisting with legal entity documents, working with outside counsel, generating loan packages, and managing collateral.
Responsibilities
- Draft loan documents using approved platforms, reviewing special situations regarding riders, entities, and loan structures.
- Review and reconcile settlement statements, confirming all closing costs, escrows, payoffs, and proceeds.
- Coordinate and communicate with title companies for closing, notarizations, document delivery, and disbursement approval.
- Act in a funding role by confirming wiring instructions and submitting wire disbursements.
- Send funding confirmation emails and confirm final data in the underwriting spreadsheet/Fusion.
- Draft mortgage loan assignments, allonges, and endorsements, confirming notarization, execution, and recording.
- Organize loan files into professionally filed and named structures.
- Perform collateral management tasks including file reception, shipping packages, and managing digital uploads.
- Conduct research and content production on Short Term Rental and non-QM regulations for special projects.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in mortgage loan closing, funding, or post-closing operations.
- Strong working knowledge of residential mortgage loan documents, settlement statements, and closing processes.
- Experience coordinating with title companies, notaries, and escrow officers.
- Familiarity with non-QM and/or investor guidelines is a plus.
- High attention to detail with the ability to review and reconcile complex settlement statements and loan documents accurately.
- Experience preparing and confirming wire transfers and funding disbursements.
- Proficiency with loan origination systems, document generation platforms, and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and service-oriented approach.
- Ability to manage multiple closings and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and experience maintaining clean digital and physical loan files.
- Proven ability to research complex issues, exercise sound judgment, and work independently through resolution.
- Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
