This is a leadership position for a practicing architect focused on building and leading a team.

Responsibilities

  • Own architectural quality across all Adobe engagements, including content, data, and work management.
  • Conduct architecture reviews to drive impactful outcomes and establish practice standards.
  • Set and maintain architecture standards, reference architectures, decision records, and reusable patterns.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex design and integration challenges, intervening when engagements are architecturally off-track.
  • Develop accelerators and asset libraries, such as migration tooling and estimation models, to improve engagement efficiency.
  • Hire, grow, and lead a distributed team of multi-solution architects.
  • Own performance management and career development for the team, advocating for their work.
  • Mentor architects across various specializations, demonstrating broad technical credibility.
  • Establish effective cross-engagement collaboration strategies for architects.
  • Foster a culture of boundary setting, decision documentation, and constructive refusal among architects.
  • Lead technical solutioning for enterprise pursuits, including architecture narrative, estimation, and scope definition.
  • Partner with sales, client partners, and Adobe alliance leads on deal strategy.
  • Translate business problems into scalable Adobe architectures and technical complexity into executive value propositions.
  • Build and enforce an estimation discipline to ensure credible commitments and track estimate-versus-actual accuracy.
  • Establish and integrate agentic engineering practices within the team.
  • Build and deploy agents, sub-agents, and orchestrated workflows to accelerate various project phases.
  • Evaluate and adopt emerging AI capabilities, setting guardrails for safe client-facing output.
  • Mentor architects on AI-native working, including those who are skeptical.
  • Own the technical relationship with Adobe's field, product, and partner organizations.
  • Represent Code and Theory within Adobe's partner ecosystem.
  • Integrate Adobe's roadmap into the practice and share field learnings with Adobe.
  • Engage in commercial negotiations and contract development.
  • Lead distributed teams across time zones, fostering genuine working relationships.
  • Operate effectively within a developing practice.
  • Travel for client engagements, Adobe events, and team interactions.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ownership of performance reviews, career development, and compensation decisions.
  • Experience in an agency, consultancy, or systems integrator with multiple concurrent clients.
  • Experience delivering projects across the US, India, and LATAM.
  • Deep, hands-on architectural expertise in at least one of: Content and experience (AEM Sites and Assets, AEMaaCS, Edge Delivery Services, Forms, EDS), Data and personalization (Adobe Experience Platform, Real-Time CDP, Customer Journey Analytics, Journey Optimizer, Analytics, Target), or Work management and content supply chain (Workfront, Workfront Fusion, GenStudio, Firefly Services).
  • Working architectural knowledge across all three areas of expertise.
  • Experience with enterprise integration architecture (CRM, commerce, search, identity and SSO, analytics, data platforms).
  • Experience with modern architecture patterns (API-first, composable, headless vs. hybrid, cloud-native, event-driven).
