About the Role

You will be actively involved in the daily work of the department with its diverse tasks and requirements for 3 months. Your focus will be primarily in the following areas: Contract law in practice, creative contract design, deal closing, in-depth research, and legal advice.

Responsibilities

  • Review, adapt, and supplement existing contracts (e.g., artist contracts, author contracts, license agreements, distribution agreements, IT contracts, and other service agreements).
  • Draft new, tailor-made agreements for special and innovative requirements.
  • Actively support us in preparing contract closings.
  • Undertake exciting research tasks in general civil law, civil procedure law, copyright law, trademark law, unfair competition law, etc.
  • Develop precise expert opinions on current legal issues in operational business.

Requirements

  • You are in the legal preparatory service and are looking for a legal or elective station in the music industry.
  • Ideally, you already have prior knowledge in media law (especially copyright law, etc.) or have gained initial practical experience through internships or stations in a commercial company.
  • You enjoy working with various interfaces and departments and are a communicative team player.
  • Your work style is characterized by structure and diligence, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English skills are required due to our international environment.
  • Flexibility, enthusiasm, and resilience characterize you.
  • You are enthusiastic about both administrative legal tasks and the music world.
