About the Role
The Part-Time Barback will be responsible for maintaining tasting room cleanliness and appearance of the Botanica Bar at Widow Jane. The Barback will support Bartenders and Front of House staff and be responsible for providing efficient beverage service and maintaining the bar’s cleanliness and overall appearance.
Responsibilities
- Provide an exceptional guest experience and maintain a positive guest/customer relation at all times
- Prepare fresh garnishes, juices, syrups, and other cocktail components
- Assist with bussing tables and resetting the bar room
- Plate bar snack offerings
- Monitor usage and restock bar with spirits, beer, and wine as needed
- Maintain highest health standards, sanitation and cleanliness in the beverage/bar area to meet local, state and government guidelines.
- Ensure all service items such as menus, etc. are cleaned, in good condition and replaced as required
- Strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors and driving under the influence
- Maintain bar cleanliness by cleaning glasses, putting away items and organizing kitchen fridge daily, changing/taking out garbage, maintaining clean restroom
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year work-related experience working in a bar/restaurant
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Service Orientation – actively looking for ways to help people
- Available to work weekends
- Ability to work in a team and be a self-starter
- Minimum age requirement: 21 years old
- Stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, and use of computer; reach with hands and arms.
- Lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
