About the Role
As a Compliance Operations Intern, you will support KYB, KYC, and CDD casework within the Compliance Operations department, gaining practical experience in first-line-of-defense compliance at a licensed EMI. You will work on live onboarding and due diligence cases under supervision, contributing to real casework with your work reviewed as part of a four-eyes process. This fixed-term internship offers meaningful case experience and a potential path to a permanent Analyst role.
Responsibilities
- Support onboarding case preparation, including document collection, review, and verification of legal representatives and beneficial owners.
- Assist with risk assessments and apply internal policies to draft recommendations.
- Work through corporate ownership structures, including multi-layered holding structures.
- Maintain clear, structured, and audit-ready documentation for compliance activities.
- Support quality checks on existing case files and flag gaps or inconsistencies.
- Prepare customer data sets for the account opening process.
- Utilize compliance tooling and provide feedback on new tools.
- Support process documentation and light process-improvement initiatives.
- Undertake ad hoc project work, including process mapping, ticket triage, and cross-functional support.
Requirements
- Genuine interest in AML/CTF, KYB/KYC, or regulatory compliance.
- High attention to detail and a strong quality mindset.
- Comfortable with structured, documentation-heavy casework.
- Analytical and structured thinking abilities.
- Ability to quickly learn new tools, systems, and regulatory concepts.
- Proactive and collaborative working style.
- Comfortable asking questions and taking ownership of tasks.
- Fluent English, written and spoken.
