About the Role
This role is responsible for implementing a sustainability program within a client's portfolio in Germany, focusing on two major campuses. You will work with a team to achieve client sustainability goals and ensure JLL's performance commitments are met. Collaboration with the regional Sustainable Operations team is expected to share and apply best practices in energy, waste, and water management.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with client procurement and local JLL site teams to collect and manage utility data for performance baselines.
- Oversee ongoing tracking of utility usage, carbon emissions, and cost data.
- Conduct data analytics on meter and submetering data to identify operational improvement opportunities.
- Identify and resolve data quality issues, implementing corrective actions and improving data capture efficiency.
- Produce monthly reports on utility use and waste data for clients and stakeholders.
- Develop a pipeline of energy and water projects, including optimization and capital decarbonization initiatives.
- Contribute to cost reduction and savings targets.
- Coordinate with site teams, suppliers, and vendors on sustainability action plan activities.
- Serve as the primary contact for site sustainability champions and drive the champion program in Germany.
- Engage with JLL facility managers to provide expert advice on energy and environmental sustainability.
- Support compliance with JLL's standard energy and sustainability operating procedures and Playbook.
- Assist with ISO 50001 annual audits, F-gas reporting, and waste data assurance audits.
- Ensure adherence to certified ISO 50001 processes.
- Support the JLL Sustainable Operations platform in EMEA, presenting best practices and contributing to playbook and tool reviews.
Requirements
- Background in Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, Energy and Engineering, or sustainable buildings.
- Sound knowledge of energy, water, and waste management.
- Knowledge of building services systems and the use of data analytics.
- Ability to analyze and present complex energy data sets.
- Good knowledge of spreadsheets and other analytical software platforms.
- Knowledge of German legislation on energy and environmental aspects.
- Understanding of ISO 50001 management systems.
- Fluent in written and spoken German and English.
- Passion for sustainability in the built environment.
- Self-starter with ability to work autonomously and within a team.
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexible, self-motivated with a service-oriented personality and a strong desire to achieve goals.
- Promote open, constructive, and collaborative relations with colleagues and clients.
