About the Role
Runners work across departments to ensure guests and associates have what they need, supporting operations throughout the hotel by delivering items and assisting various teams. Success in this role requires ensuring a safe workplace, following company policies, maintaining confidentiality, upholding quality standards, and presenting a professional image.
Responsibilities
- Deliver items directly to guests in their rooms.
- Provide support to housekeeping, engineering, banquets, restaurants, and the front office.
- Ensure smooth operations throughout the hotel.
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended time.
- Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces and up/down stairs or service ramps.
- Read and visually verify information in various formats, including small print.
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 55 pounds without assistance.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- No related work experience required.
- No supervisory experience required.
- Ensure a safe work place.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Uphold quality standards.
- Maintain a professional uniform, personal appearance, and communications.
