About the Role
This role is responsible for the end-to-end onboarding of derivative trading relationships across Standard Life entities, acting as a key link between the Front Office and various internal and external partners to ensure operational, legal, regulatory, and system requirements are met accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end onboarding of new and existing derivative trading counterparties.
- Act as a key point of contact for derivative and collateral onboarding requests, providing clear updates and resolving queries.
- Coordinate KYC and reverse-KYC activity, including documentation requests, screening, and due diligence queries.
- Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external counterparties.
- Manage and prioritize multiple onboarding requests to support timely delivery.
- Set up and maintain counterparty, agreement, and portfolio configurations within Aladdin.
- Oversee counterparty setup across platforms including FXALL, Tradeweb, DTCC, and MarkitWire.
- Coordinate derivative legal documentation, including ISDA, CSA, GMRA, CDEA, IM CSD, and ACA agreements.
- Maintain accurate derivative and collateral agreement data.
- Support requirements relating to variation margin, initial margin, and EMIR delegated reporting.
- Identify issues at an early stage, apply sound judgment, and escalate risks appropriately.
Requirements
- Previous experience in derivatives or collateral onboarding within an asset management or closely related financial services environment.
- Understanding of derivative products and associated legal documentation, including ISDA, CSA, GMRA, and CDEA agreements.
- Knowledge of variation margin and initial margin requirements.
- Experience of KYC, due diligence, and documentation processes.
- Working knowledge of the operational and regulatory requirements associated with derivatives.
- Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain accurate and reliable data across multiple systems.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder and relationship management capability.
- Confidence to take ownership of processes, tasks, and onboarding requests.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver effectively under pressure.
- Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable approach.
- Sound problem-solving skills, with the judgment to identify and escalate issues when required.
