About the Role
As an Electronics Technician for Automation Technology apprentice at BEW Berliner Energie und Wärme GmbH, you will be responsible for the safe and continuous operation of complex automation systems. This role involves maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of these systems, contributing to the reliable energy supply of Berlin.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and optimize control and regulation technology systems.
- Identify and resolve system malfunctions.
- Work with process control technology, including power plant automation and visualizations.
- Apply control engineering knowledge.
- Understand the relationship between process control technology and process engineering.
- Plan and execute tasks independently.
- Perform maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting of automation systems and equipment.
- Configure, commission, parameterize, maintain, and optimize automation systems and equipment through programming and visualization.
- Install and configure IT systems as well as pneumatic and electrical drive systems.
- Analyze functional relationships and process flows.
- Monitor and maintain systems and conduct regular inspections.
- Optimize control loops and analyze faults.
- Design modifications and extensions of automation systems.
- Utilize test software and diagnostic systems, and take immediate action.
- Customer service and quality management.
Requirements
- Good school leaving certificate.
- Good German language skills, both written and spoken.
- Manual dexterity and an understanding of electronics and logic.
- Communication and teamwork skills.
- Good color perception.
- Willingness to work shifts.
