About the Role

As a lecturer for the "IT Specialist for System Integration" retraining program, you will be responsible for the technical and didactic delivery of all relevant competencies according to the training framework curriculum. You will design motivating, practical lessons and support our participants on their path to the IHK examination. You will contribute your IT expertise to digital teaching formats, develop modern teaching materials, actively promote learning motivation, and help people with their career restart.

Responsibilities

• Planning and conducting lessons according to the training framework curriculum
• Teaching topics such as: network technology (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP), server and client administration, operating systems (Windows/Linux), virtualization, IT security, and hardware and system components
• Teaching basics in scripting/automation, customer service, and IT support
• Combining theory, practical examples, and interactive methods (e.g., case studies, lab/project work)
• Targeted preparation of participants for the extended IHK final examination (Part 1 and 2, including operational project and technical discussion)
• Regular learning progress checks, feedback, and individual learning support
• Creation and maintenance of teaching materials and digital content (e.g., Moodle, lab environments)
• Continuous optimization of the curriculum based on technology trends and feedback
• Documentation of learning progress and attendance
• Close coordination with the teaching team, department management, and administration

Requirements

• Completed training as an IT specialist (system integration), IT degree (computer science, business informatics), or comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in system administration, IT infrastructure, network, or server operations
• Knowledge in topics such as network technology, virtualization, IT security, and common operating systems; certifications (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft, LPIC) are an advantage
• AEVO (AdA certificate) proof or willingness to obtain it by December 2026
• Experience in training apprentices or adult education
• Proficient in using digital tools and learning platforms
• Structured way of working, strong communication skills, and enjoyment of knowledge transfer
• No disqualifying reasons according to BBiG § 30
• Proof of training, AEVO, professional practice, and possibly IHK trainer status required
