About the Role
Seeking a qualified professional to support residents in a full-time residential facility, promoting community participation and independent living.
Responsibilities
- Ensure and implement holistic and needs-oriented care for clients, fostering community participation.
- Support and assist clients in achieving a dignified, independent, and abstinent life.
- Conduct psychosocial individual counseling sessions.
- Motivate, encourage, guide, and assist clients in active, self-determined leisure activities.
- Motivate, encourage, guide, and assist clients in meaningful work and activity offerings in household management, farm, and garden care.
- Cover shifts including early, late, and night shifts, weekend work, and on-call duties.
Requirements
- Completed vocational training as a social worker, special needs educator, healthcare and nursing professional, occupational therapist, or geriatric nurse.
- Professional experience with individuals suffering from addiction and mental illness.
- Teamwork, flexibility, communication skills, and resilience.
- Willingness to engage with individuals suffering from addiction and comorbid disorders.
