About the Role

This role is responsible for the overall financial strategy and establishing uniform standards for all financial processes at BST. You will manage financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting, acting as a strategic partner to management on financial policy matters and supporting debt financing processes. You will also ensure timely preparation of financial statements and maintain compliance with internal controls.

Responsibilities

Financial steering: Responsible for the functional overall strategy and establishing uniform standards for all financial processes at BST.
Corporate planning & performance: Manage financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
Executive advisory: Report to the COO, act as a strategic partner to management in all financial policy matters, and support debt financing processes. Prepare discussions with banks and support management in negotiations.
Accounting: Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Governance & compliance: Ensure compliance with internal control principles and further develop approval procedures, processes, and compliance guidelines.
Interface orchestration: Define interfaces to relevant internal stakeholders (e.g., purchasing, IT) and external service providers.

Requirements

Completed business administration degree with a focus on finance, controlling, auditing, or a comparable qualification.
Several years of management experience, including responsibility for a company's accounting and controlling departments, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
Proven experience in scaling financial organizations: Ability to define suitable target images, build structures and processes, drive digitalization, and engage non-financial stakeholders.
In-depth expertise in strategic planning & implementation, controlling, and accounting according to HGB.
Strong hands-on mentality combined with strategic foresight: Willingness to actively implement projects, processes, or guidelines. Ability to translate complex operational figures into clear, future-oriented business strategies for management.
Convincing power & negotiation skills: Excellent communication and abstraction skills to confidently discuss financial concepts at the C-level.
