About the Role

This highly autonomous Brand Manager role will lead the Better For You Portfolio (BFY) across Sunbites and PopCorners with end-to-end ownership of brand strategy, communications, innovation, commercial delivery, and performance tracking. The role is accountable for shaping the local growth agenda for two priority Better-For-You brands, translating consumer, category, and commercial insight into clear strategic choices, compelling brand plans, and disciplined execution that unlocks sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Synthesize consumer, shopper, category, and commercial data to identify brand insights, growth opportunities, and strategic actions.
  • Develop brand and category growth plans for Sunbites and PopCorners using the Growth Navigator model, delivering AOP volume, net revenue, share, and profit growth while building long-term brand equity.
  • Independently shape the local growth agenda for both brands, bringing strong strategic judgment, confidence, and commercial rigor to recommendations and decision-making.
  • Drive strong cross-functional collaboration and brand custodianship, balancing long-term growth plans with short-term business objectives.
  • Develop and deliver compelling brand presentations for senior leaders, cross-functional teams, and retail partners to secure alignment, buy-in, and execution ownership.
  • Lead the development of local innovation pipelines in partnership with R&D, insights, category, commercial teams, and external research partners to unlock incremental brand growth.
  • Own product and packaging innovation for Sunbites across salty and biscuit aisles, and for PopCorners across relevant formats, sub-ranges, and pack propositions.
  • Lead cross-functional project delivery through stage gate, aligning sales, category, R&D, RMM, finance, and insights to deliver launches on time, in budget, and with clear success measures.
  • Lead monthly performance tracking for Sunbites and PopCorners leveraging Circana, brand scorecards, Synergy, and Quantium to translate performance into action plans that optimize investment, execution, and future growth.
  • Manage the A&M budget and related processes within PepsiCo controls and taxonomy frameworks, ensuring accurate tracking, disciplined spend, and clear ROI focus.
  • Lead the development and execution of brand communications and activation platforms for Sunbites and PopCorners, ensuring plans are distinctive, insight-led, category-relevant, and designed to drive penetration.
  • Create clear, compelling briefs for creative, media, and PR agencies, translating business challenges into strong creative and commercial outcomes.
  • Deliver integrated plans across paid, owned, earned, shopper, in-store, experiential, and digital touchpoints, ensuring each initiative has clear objectives, measures, and optimization plans.
  • Manage creative development, production, media planning, budget, timing, business sell-in, and post-campaign analysis to ensure best-in-class work that builds equity and drives growth.
  • Use key brand performance and ROI tools, including Kantar BMS, Circana, Synergy, and Quantium, to evaluate activity, identify learnings, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage relationships with packaging, research, media, creative, social, and activation agencies to ensure projects and campaigns are delivered to a high standard, on time, on budget, and optimized for launch.
  • Demonstrate and promote a commitment to health, safety, and welfare across all projects, agency partnerships, and activations.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of brand management experience in the Australian market, preferably within FMCG.
  • Proven experience in brand planning, insights-driven decision making, and managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work autonomously, set direction, influence stakeholders, and make recommendations.
  • Experience leading new product development and innovation through stage-gate processes.
  • Strong expertise across marketing disciplines, including media, digital, social, communications, research, and agency management.
  • Proficiency in data analytics (Circana/Nielsen), performance diagnosis, and commercial decision making, with solid financial and P&L acumen.
