About the Role

Be a part of the North America Middle Market actuarial pricing team, supporting initiatives that drive pricing strategy, portfolio profitability, and business growth. Partner closely with actuarial and underwriting teams while gaining exposure to individual account pricing, portfolio management, pricing model development, and strategic pricing analyses.

Responsibilities

  • Support pricing strategy development alongside underwriting and actuarial leaders to drive profitable growth across AXA XL’s Middle Market portfolio
  • Deliver actuarial analyses and pricing recommendations for individual accounts, portfolio management, and business planning decisions
  • Monitor portfolio performance, rate adequacy, pricing effectiveness, and profitability trends to identify opportunities and emerging risks
  • Analyze business results across industries, geographies, and customer segments to support underwriting strategy, growth initiatives, and renewal actions
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain pricing models, rating tools, and segmentation approaches that improve pricing accuracy and business outcomes
  • Perform loss, claims, trend, and competitive market analyses to generate actionable insights and support pricing decisions

Requirements

  • Moderate actuarial, insurance, data analytics, or related analytical experience
  • Progress toward CAS credentialing with a demonstrated commitment to professional development
  • Experience using Python, R, SQL, or similar analytical tools to analyze data, automate processes, and develop insights
  • Robust analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Collaborative team player with outstanding organizational and time management abilities
  • Intellectual curiosity, demonstrated initiative, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement
  • Attention to detail and a focus on producing high-quality work with integrity
