About the Role
As an Automation Engineer at Serval, you will push the limits of our AI platform, extending it into new use cases, testing unreleased features, and providing valuable feedback to the product team. You will act as a practitioner evangelist for both Serval and Automation Engineering, defining the standard for this emerging role.
Responsibilities
- Design and build automations and AI agents within customer Serval instances.
- Integrate Serval with customer systems such as Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, ServiceNow, and Workday.
- Conduct working sessions with IT, HR, Finance, and Legal teams to understand and build automations.
- Develop reusable automation patterns and train customer teams to extend them.
- Collaborate with Deployment Strategists to achieve customer milestones and identify risks.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 2+ years in a relevant role (IT or service operations, professional services, solutions engineering, business systems, technical support).
- Working knowledge of APIs and REST, JSON, and IAM concepts including SSO, SCIM, and provisioning.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to run a working session, challenge a requirement, and translate technical tradeoffs for non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to learn unfamiliar software quickly and work independently across several customer accounts.
