About the Role
This role is part of ACCIONA's Power Systems team, delivering robust and cost-effective engineering solutions for complex infrastructure. Designs focus on constructability, safety, and sustainability, requiring collaboration with civil, structural, and primary specialists across diverse scopes.
Responsibilities
- Develop HV transmission line designs
- Use modelling tools to optimise performance
- Prepare drawings, reports and specifications
- Apply Safety in Design requirements
- Coordinate design inputs across disciplines
- Resolve design issues and support improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Chartered Status (including RPEV, RPEQ, NER & CPEng), or the ability to achieve within 6 months of commencing, is desirable
- Tier 1/Tier 2 contractor or TNSP experience highly regarded
- 4+ years’ senior experience in transmission line design (220kV+)
- Advanced PLS-CADD skills (preferably to 500kV); working knowledge of PLS-Tower
- Understanding of HV transmission, substations, and applicable standards
- Skilled in preparing clear, accurate reports, drawings, schedules, and specifications
