About the Role
Brex is seeking a Product Manager to join their core AI team, focusing on building AI agents for finance administrators. This role offers end-to-end ownership of a product, allowing you to shape its direction, define capabilities, and work directly with customers to ensure trust and effectiveness. You will be instrumental in inventing new approaches to AI agent evaluation and deployment within a fast-paced, startup-like environment backed by an established company.
Responsibilities
- Own product direction for the Finance Admin AI surface, including strategy, roadmap, and daily execution decisions.
- Translate complex, company-specific finance workflows into effective agent behaviors for production environments.
- Define and implement criteria for agent judgment, developing evaluation methods, prompting strategies, and feedback loops.
- Engage in hands-on product development, including prototyping, data analysis, and performance monitoring.
- Incrementally earn autonomy for AI agents, determining appropriate levels of recommendation versus action based on customer trust.
- Collaborate directly with finance administrators to ensure product iterations are driven by real-world usage.
- Establish and maintain a high quality standard for AI agents operating in critical financial contexts.
Requirements
- Experienced product manager with a proven track record of end-to-end ownership of complex, user-facing products.
- Experience building products for company administrators, specifically in finance, accounting, HR, payroll, IT, or compliance.
- Experience selling software products to other companies, not just internal systems.
- Demonstrated depth in company workflows or data/reporting, with a strong interest in the other.
- Technical depth, with experience in probabilistic or optimization-driven systems such as AI/ML, search, marketplace matching, risk detection, or game engines.
- Comfort with ambiguity, unpredictable systems, and making iterative improvements.
- Strong product taste and judgment regarding shippable features.
- Ability to move quickly, delve into details, and iterate based on data and prototypes.
- Experience with agentic software, including designing evaluations, iterating prompts, and managing failure modes is a strong plus.
- Hands-on experience in prompting or evaluation design is desirable.
- Familiarity with fintech, expense management, or accounting workflows is desirable.
