About the Role

EisnerAmper is seeking a Partner for their State & Local Tax team. This role involves new business development, servicing existing clients with compliance and consulting, thought leadership, technology initiatives, and staff development.

Responsibilities

  • Provide multistate consulting and compliance services, including technical review of partnership and corporate state and local tax returns.
  • Address multistate tax issues such as allocation, apportionment, modifications, nexus, unitary filings, and flow-through taxation.
  • Handle residency issues.
  • Conduct state tax consulting, including nexus and taxability studies.
  • Manage audit defense.
  • Perform research and writing.
  • Engage in due diligence.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other in-house tax professionals and clients.
  • Review and consult on pass-through entity issues, including estimated payment, withholding, and composite tax calculations.
  • Prepare investor packages, including state K-1s and grids and related filings.
  • Research and analyze state tax legislation and its impact on clients.
  • Assist with various tax consulting projects, including research and writing for tax planning, restructuring, and accounting for income taxes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent field.
  • CPA, EA, or JD.
  • 15+ years of experience in state taxation.
  • 7+ years of supervisory experience.
