About the Role
The Upper Extremities Sales Associate will partner with Sales Representatives to learn the medical device industry and contribute to business growth in an assigned territory. This role involves supporting sales calls, covering cases, marketing products, managing inventory, and converting customers.
Responsibilities
- Attend surgeries to ensure product availability and instruct surgeons on product use.
- Educate healthcare professionals on the proper use and maintenance of Stryker products.
- Work with sales teams to identify sales opportunities and build customer relationships.
- Identify prospect needs and develop appropriate sales responses.
- Tailor promotional messages based on customer knowledge and product features.
- Perform field calls within the assigned territory.
- Assist in implementing new sales plans and marketing strategies.
- Partner with sales teams to meet business targets.
- Serve as the primary backup contact for Sales Representatives.
- Acquire a basic understanding of regulatory compliance issues and adhere to guidelines.
- Assist in resolving customer issues and questions.
- Manage inventory levels and build sets to meet customer needs.
- Assist in acquiring and processing Customer Purchase Orders for invoicing.
- Maintain training in sales skills and products.
- Market the product line, highlighting differentiators from competitors.
- Remain current on industry, customer, and competitive trends.
- Participate in sales meetings and professional association meetings.
- Adhere to compliance and principles of responsibility, maintaining confidentiality and acting with integrity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree OR Associate’s degree or Medical Certification + at least 2 years of professional and/or related experience OR High School Diploma + at least 4 years of professional and/or related experience OR 4+ years of active duty military service.
- Employees and new hires in sales and field roles may be required to obtain the COVID-19 vaccination depending on customer requirements.
