About the Role
CTG is seeking a Software Engineer II to develop, integrate, test, and support software for industrial measurement, inspection, and machine vision systems. This role will support software development, system integration, deployment, troubleshooting, and technical documentation. The engineer will also help evaluate and implement AI-assisted and agentic coding tools to improve software development productivity and quality.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, maintain, and troubleshoot software applications using C#/.NET.
- Develop software for distributed, multi-process, and integrated systems.
- Support communication, configuration, sequencing, and data handling across system applications.
- Support software builds, releases, deployments, and system integration.
- Troubleshoot software and integrated measurement systems.
- Create and maintain technical and support documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, and operations teams.
- Evaluate and apply AI-assisted and agentic coding tools to improve development workflows.
- Support source control, versioning, build, and release processes.
Requirements
- Professional experience developing C#/.NET applications.
- Experience with distributed or integrated software systems.
- Experience with Git/GitLab, source control, software versioning, and build/release processes.
- Familiarity with messaging systems, publish/subscribe architectures, or message queues.
- Experience supporting software deployment and troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with WPF and .NET UI development.
- Experience integrating cameras, motion control systems, imaging hardware, or measurement equipment.
- Experience with machine vision, computer vision, image processing, or metrology.
- Experience with HALCON, OpenCV, LabVIEW, or similar technologies.
- Experience with machine learning applications for inspection or classification.
- Familiarity with databases, containerization, or high-performance computing.
- Experience using AI-assisted or agentic software development tools.
- Manufacturing, industrial automation, or production systems experience.
