About the Role
The Deal Advisory Tax team works on significant transactions in the Australian market for clients in Real Estate, Private Equity, and Infrastructure. This role involves working on high-profile projects and requires a Senior Manager with experience in corporate clients and a focus on Real Estate.
Responsibilities
- Structuring, with a particular focus on inbound investment structures, taxation of trusts / Managed Investment Trusts
- Tax due diligence and transaction document review
- Assist clients with their tax compliance, including preparing and/or reviewing of trust and company tax returns
- Research and analyse technical tax issues
- Transaction related ATO and FIRB correspondence
- Support with business development initiatives and proposals
- Mentor, develop and lead teams
Requirements
- Tax professional with transactional experience
- Commitment to client service with a proven track record of developing strong relationships with clients
- Strong tax technical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment, supervise and mentor team members
