About the Role

This role brings structure and quantitative rigor to the rapidly growing AI compute market. You will size addressable demand, recommend deployment strategies, forecast monetization, and build the financial case for capital decisions that will shape the business.

Responsibilities

  • Size the total addressable market for AI compute, assessing demand drivers and trends.
  • Evaluate industry-wide data center and power supply capacity against demand.
  • Build and maintain long-term forecasts for AI compute and power capacity demand.
  • Track shifts in customer segments and their implications for the business.
  • Recommend deployment mixes (Colo, owned builds, modular) for different segments.
  • Develop pricing forecast models using signals like demand volatility and supply-chain constraints.
  • Track forecast accuracy and explain deviations.
  • Build the financial case for portfolio-level build-ahead vs. build-to-order tradeoffs.
  • Create materials for the CFO, Board, and executive audiences summarizing market view and scaling strategy.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in demand planning, supply/capacity planning, or quantitative finance.
  • Experience in cloud infrastructure, data centers, semiconductors, or a similar capital-intensive, forecast-driven business is ideal.
  • Strong financial modeling skills and ability to build credible market views with incomplete data.
  • Familiarity with statistical forecasting tools and techniques (e.g., time series, regression, scenario modeling).
  • Experience synthesizing external market and competitive information with internal deal-level data.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of influencing senior decision-makers.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Math, or a related analytical field.
  • MBA or Masters in Analytics is a plus.
  • Domain expertise in AI Infrastructure is a plus.
  • Experience with SQL and/or BigQuery is a plus.
