About the Role
Bowers Accountants & Advisors is seeking highly motivated, collaborative, and results-oriented interns to join their Audit team for the 2027 Tax Internship Season. This internship offers flexibility regarding summer schedules and is designed for students interested in pursuing a career in public accounting.
Responsibilities
- Familiarity and ability to learn accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently
- Ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality
- Become familiar with and effectively utilize software for Auditing
- Communicate status updates to managers/supervisors as needed
- Approach daily responsibilities with the Bowers’ mission and client-centric philosophy in mind
- Learn the audit process: information gathering, client follow-up, preparation, and completion
- Develop the ability to identify, understand, and address accounting issues
- Strengthen written and verbal communication skills with clients and colleagues
- Participate in firm outings and activities as able
Requirements
- Active enrollment and a major in Accounting, Business, or Finance (Junior standing or above is preferred)
- Interest in pursuing a career in public accounting
- Interested in meeting the college requirement towards CPA eligibility
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
