About the Role

This role involves assisting clients to understand the Tribunal process, managing complex cases, preparing matters for hearing, and ensuring compliance with relevant procedures and legislation. Staff may be exposed to psychosocial hazards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients to understand the Tribunal process, including encouraging the participation of persons with a disability
  • Manage complex cases where there may be significant conflict between parties
  • List and prepare matters for hearing, write hearing reports for the Tribunal, prepare, and send documents to clients
  • Contact clients to determine how they will participate in Tribunal hearings
  • Comply with procedures and legislation relevant to the Tribunal

Requirements

  • Motivated, takes initiative, and has strong customer service skills
  • Interested in supporting people with disability
  • Capable of being professional with challenging clients
  • Willing to develop skills and knowledge of legislation, legal principles, and procedures
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience working in a high-volume environment with set timeframes
  • Ability to manage individual workload independently and efficiently
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy
