About the Role

Design and scale programs that turn in-person engagement into enterprise pipeline by managing third-party sponsorships and Perplexity-led field events to drive awareness, deepen relationships with senior buyers, and accelerate opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Co-own the field marketing strategy, working as an equal partner to build the portfolio.
  • Turn field engagement into pipeline by designing programs with clear objectives and follow-up plans.
  • Own third-party event sponsorships, including evaluation, negotiation, activation, and ROI.
  • Run high-impact Perplexity events such as executive dinners and regional roadshows.
  • Align tightly with Sales on target accounts, meeting goals, and post-event follow-up.
  • Represent Perplexity in the market, leading on-site execution at conferences and events.
  • Build integrated campaigns around field moments, extending events through various channels.
  • Own end-to-end execution, managing vendors, budgets, timelines, and attendee experience.
  • Measure outcomes, tracking the path from engagement to revenue and program ROI.
  • Build the field operating system, creating processes for planning, intake, and reporting.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in field marketing and event marketing, ideally in B2B SaaS or enterprise technology.
  • Proven track record building and scaling a portfolio including third-party sponsorships, conferences, and company-led field programs with measurable results.
  • Versatile, hands-on operator capable of strategy, sponsorship evaluation, campaign planning, event production, executive management, on-site execution, and performance analysis.
  • Deep expertise in either third-party sponsorships or company-led field events, with the range and interest to operate across both.
  • Strong event planning and execution skills, managing both intimate executive programs and larger events.
  • Collaborative and low-ego, experienced working with a peer to divide a portfolio and share context.
  • Excellent relationship builder with experience engaging senior executives, customers, prospects, Sales teams, vendors, and cross-functional partners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to craft compelling event narratives and campaign plans.
  • Analytically rigorous, with experience setting targets, managing budgets, working with CRM data, and reporting pipeline.
  • Highly organized, resourceful, and calm under pressure, with good judgment for problem-solving.
  • Willingness to travel frequently for event management and field activations.
