About the Role

This role is Runlayer’s first brand designer, partnering closely with marketing and product design to define how Runlayer presents itself across all web and in-person surfaces. It requires a designer comfortable owning decisions, setting a high bar, and building a brand with intention while maintaining startup pace. The role involves defining, shaping, and launching the Runlayer brand as a system, collaborating with design and marketing teams, and reporting to the VP of Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead brand execution for Runlayer across marketing, web, events, and sales, balancing foundational system work with high-visibility brand moments.
  • Design sales enablement materials including decks, one-pagers, and templates.
  • Design marketing materials such as OG cards, webpages, social posts, trade show booth designs, and swag.
  • Build generative AI brand tools, templates, and standards to increase the speed and quality of brand work across the company.
  • Partner closely with product design to create a cohesive relationship between brand and product, and raise the craft bar across both.

Requirements

  • Strong creative point of view and a track record of defining or meaningfully evolving a brand.
  • Comfortable operating as a team of one in design while being closely embedded in a collaborative marketing team.
  • Brings strong opinions loosely held, is open to feedback, and has the judgment to know when to move fast and when to sweat the details.
  • Enjoys working across web, campaigns, print, events, decks, and motion.
  • Interest in building custom AI tooling to scale brand work.
  • Proficiency in a range of design and presentation tools, from Figma and Paper to Google Slides.
  • Comfort managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong collaboration and written communication skills.
  • Ability to translate a complex technical infrastructure product into clear, compelling visual stories that resonate beyond a technical audience.

About the Company

  • AI is transforming how every company operates, but most enterprises are stuck. They want to move fast with AI Agents, tools, and workflows, but they can't do it safely. We're fixing that.
  • The team built AI Actions for OpenAI, shipped Zapier Agents to millions of users, and launched the first remote MCP server with Anthropic. They helped establish the protocol and are now building the platform enterprises need to put AI to work.
  • Runlayer is one platform for MCPs, Skills, and Agents, offering purpose-built security, fine-grained governance, and complete observability so organizations can go all-in on AI without risk.
  • The company recently raised a $30M Series A led by Felicis, with participation from Khosla Ventures, bringing their total raised to $42M.
