About the Role
Insero is seeking candidates interested in part-time or full-time paid internship opportunities starting in January 2027 in Rochester, NY. This role offers the chance to gain practical experience in audit software, fixed asset/depreciation software, basic audit procedures, and client interaction.
Responsibilities
- Training on and becoming proficient in audit software and fixed asset/depreciation software.
- Gaining a working knowledge of basic audit procedures, standard audit practices, and specialized audits (pension plan, nonprofit, town, county, school district).
- Understanding the workflow of audit work within the office.
- Gaining exposure to client personnel interactions.
- Improving basic organization and planning skills.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate accounting program (sophomore through senior year) or a graduate accounting degree program.
- Must be returning to school after the internship.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Functional knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word and Excel).
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Proactive attitude.
- Solid multi-tasking skills.
