About the Role
Insero is seeking candidates interested in part-time or full-time paid internship opportunities starting in January 2027 in Rochester, NY. This role involves training on and becoming proficient in tax software, preparing tax documents, understanding tax work flow, and improving organizational and planning skills.
Responsibilities
- Training on and becoming proficient in CaseWare and CCH Axcess software.
- Preparing 1099s, W-2s, Individual income tax returns, and extensions using a paperless computer system.
- Gaining a basic understanding of how tax work flows through the office.
- Improving basic organization and planning skills.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate accounting program (sophomore through senior year) or a graduate accounting degree program.
- Must be returning to school after the internship.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Functional knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word and Excel).
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Proactive.
- Solid multi-tasking skills.
- Strong analytical ability.
