About the Role
Insero is seeking candidates interested in full-time paid internship opportunities starting in June 2027 in Ithaca, NY. This role offers the chance to gain practical experience in audit software, procedures, and client interaction within a leading accounting and business advisory practice.
Responsibilities
- Train on and become proficient in audit software.
- Train on and become proficient with fixed asset and depreciation software.
- Gain a working knowledge of basic audit procedures, standard audit practices, and specialized audits (pension plan, nonprofit, town, county, school district).
- Understand how audit work flows through the office.
- Gain exposure to client personnel interactions.
- Improve basic organization and planning skills.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate accounting program (sophomore through senior year) or a graduate accounting degree program.
- Must be returning to school after the internship.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Functional knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word and Excel).
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Proactive.
- Solid multi-tasking skills.
- Strong analytical ability.
