About the Role
Insero is seeking candidates interested in full-time paid internship opportunities starting in June 2027 in Rochester, NY. This role offers the chance to gain practical experience in audit procedures, software proficiency, and client interaction within a supportive and growth-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Train on and become proficient in audit software.
- Train on and become proficient with fixed asset and depreciation software.
- Gain a working knowledge of basic audit procedures and standard audit practices, including pension plan auditing or nonprofit/town/county/school district audits.
- Gain a basic understanding of how audit work flows through the office.
- Gain exposure to dealing with client personnel.
- Improve basic organization and planning skills.
Requirements
- Accounting students currently enrolled in an undergraduate program (sophomore through senior year) or a graduate accounting degree program.
- Must be returning to school after the internship.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Functional knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word and Excel).
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Proactive attitude.
- Solid multi-tasking skills.
